Spitfire Forge was established in 1996, as I was getting more and more work from builders around town. The shop as a business has sustained me since, with most of my clients being building contractors, designers and architects. Working as a blacksmith today, I have had the pleasure to problem solve concepts and experiment with all kinds of metals and methods to achieve a body of work that is in use in peoples homes. I usually work alone, and enjoy being fluent in my tools and in the shop doing exactly what I love to do.

Future Goals
I am currently starting construction on a new shop to house my forge. I am wishing it to be up and running by the end of 2007. I am building this new facility with my workshops in mind and will be able to accommodate a slightly larger group of students and have more room for equipment. Also in the works is the Spitfire Forge Residency Program. This will enable artists to concentrate on a specific project in the shop while having meals and lodging taken care of for a specific amount of time. I am currently searching for funding for this project by the end of 2007 and any ideas on this are welcome!
